As part of a wireless design, wireless pre-installation surveys are required for optimal access point placement. Many environments are well suited toward software-based, predictive surveys, such as a K12 high-density deployment with an AP in every classroom.
Other environments require a physical, “AP on a stick” wireless pre-survey. In these cases, Delta can perform this service utilizing Ekahau or Airmagnet measuring tools, covering both 2.4 and 5G bands. Our surveys include all measurements and heat maps (using multiple client types), along with pictures of recommended AP placement locations, with full documentation.
For results confirmation, some of our customers also require physical post-surveys. These post surveys will validate design conformance, include measurements and current heat maps, along with pictures of final AP placement locations and all related documentation.
